Trek one day but kayak the next in this amazing 2 day tour. You’ll get to discover some of the most beautiful caves and trails available in Vang Vieng, with a full day of trekking across the 1500 m high ridge of Vang Vieng to remote places that even locals are not aware of. A second day will involve some further trekking and kayaking down the Nam Song river.

We begin the tour in the morning, driving out to the village of Phathao (12km north of Vang Vieng). After reaching the mountain range, a climb will take us quite high where we’ll find some beautiful panoramic views.

Near the top of this ridge lies the Tham Hok Cave. There we will be met by some of the most impressive stalactites and stalagmites to be found in Vang Vieng’s many caves.

After spending some there, we will make the descent down the far side of the mountain, where ‘Secret Eden’ awaits us. We’ll have plenty of time for a swim in the cool water and a snack.

We will spend the night in a homestay, giving you the chance to truly experience Lao culture in a local village.

The next day we will make our way after breakfast to the Nam Song river and begin the kayaking part of the trip. As we speed down the Nam Song river we’ll have the chance to stop at the Tham Nam Thaemand Tham None caves along the way.

There will also be the chance to stop for a drink or bite to eat one of the many bars along the river.

We’ll arrive back into Vang Vieng in time for a drink to enjoy the sunset.
